    Later this month, local residents will not only get the chance to meet actor Bill Pullman and director Jared Moshe at a special premier of the "Ballad of Lefty Brown" at the Whitehall Star Theater, they will also have the opportunity to raise money for the Jefferson Valley Museum.     There is a new Mayor and four new Council members on the Town of Whitehall governing body. At a special meeting Jan. 3, Council members Barbara Gagnon, Katy James, Jason Good and Montina Rawson, and Mayor Mary Janacaro-Hensleigh were sworn into their positions.     The Whitehall Town Council meeting originally scheduled for January 8 has been postponed. The regular monthly meeting will instead take place Tuesday, January 16 at 7 p.m. The Whitehall School Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for January 9 has also been changed due to a home wrestling meet.   • Wraps promote school pride

    While local students were enjoying Christmas break, staff members in the Whitehall School District were busy making visual improvements to the Varsity Gym. According to Superintendent John Sullivan, several wraps were placed in the area around the gym during the break as a way to promote school pride.   • Interstate robberies target ATM's

    Two days after a botched attempt to take an ATM at the Cardwell Store, two suspects were able to steal an ATM at an Exxon store off Interstate 15 in Idaho Falls. The IFPD has pictures of a flat-bed Super Duty Ford Truck used at both incidents. The the truck was stolen, and the New Mexico license plates were stolen from another vehicle. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department was dispatched to the Cardwell Store located at 770 East Hwy 2 at 7:06 a.m. on December 26.     The Whitehall Chamber of Commerce is looking to move away from the Futurity Event at the annual Frontier Days Celebration in July. Chamber Executive Coordinator Casey Chase said at a meeting last week that it has become more difficult to work with contractors and while prices are going up for the event, attendance is not.     The Whitehall High School wrestling team had two place at last weekend's prestigious Tom LeProwse Tournament in Bozeman. Junior Connor Johnson placed fifth at 132 pounds and Dawson Hoerauf finished seventh at 285.     Trailing 16-10 at the end of the first quarter Friday night against Missoula Loyola, the Whitehall High School boys basketball team came out firing on all cylinders in the second quarter. The Trojans outscored the visiting Rams 18-4 in the quarter on their way to a 72-58 victory.
