21st Century Community Learning Center

The 2nd and 3rd graders spent some time building during the after school program this week. They used various materials during their construction. Towers were built using popsicle sticks, clothes pins, and binder clips. They also used pencils, blocks, Legos, and dominoes to construct other structures.

One of the goals of the 21st century grant is to have the students engage in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. This week they were able to use various materials to experiment and construct, without having to follow a specific set of directions, and the results were something they were really proud of!
