WHS Council plans contest

The Whitehall High School Student Council is hoping for community participation during a Homecoming contest next week.

According to Council President Ryan Murphy, at a recent meeting they came up with the idea of a window decorating for local businesses.

"Our Council decided we wanted to get the community involved this year and what better way than decorating their businesses," he said. "We're excited to make it a little bit of a competition between all of them and can't wait to see town decorated with Whitehall pride."

The winning business will receive a one month "splash ad" on the Whitehall Ledger website (www.whitehallledger.com). Ledger advertising manager Melissa Jenkins said the ad is unique and will "splash" onto the screen each time someone enters the site. The value of the ad is $150.

The winning business will also get a front-page feature in an upcoming edition of the Ledger.

The theme for the 2017 Whitehall Homecoming is Montana Proud. Look for more details on the Homecoming on the front page of next week's Ledger.
