Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

EDITORIAL: Don't miss out on the stroll

This Saturday, the local community will come together for the annual Whitehall Christmas Stroll. This event is an incredible way for local residents of all ages to spend a day with a variety of activities and shopping opportunities.

Volunteers have spent countless hours planning this event, and it is a fun day that truly does bring the community together. Chamber volunteers have really tried to make this the best event possible and the addition of new events in 2017 will be nothing but a boon to this yearly event.

For those that my have not been to the Stroll or have not been for a few years, I really encourage you to give it a try. It is a family friendly affair with a visit from Santa and youth crafts, but also offers a variety of unique shopping at the annual vendors market.

Local families and friends can also come together for caroling and the annual tree lighting in Legion Park.

For many, this has become a yearly tradition, and it would be huge for event organizers if more did so. They do such a great job putting this event together, it is imperative there is a huge crowd so it can continue to grow.

A big shout out should also be given to the Whitehall Saddle Club for their yearly wreath auction. Money earned in this fundraiser goes to the local food pantry and non-profit organizations.

Their hard working putting this together each year is such a blessing to a community the size of Whitehall.

Even if it is for just a few minutes, be sure to check out the Stroll on Saturday -- it will be a great decision.
