Trojan wrestlers strong at Cascade Tourney

It was a strong start to the season for the Whitehall High School wrestling team.

The Trojans finished fifth out of 25 teams at last week's two-day Cascade Tournament.

Senior Dawson Hoerauf (285), and sophomore Riley Forcella (138), each went 4-0 and finished in first place.

"All the boys wrestled really well and we were especially pleased with the development of our younger wrestlers," assistant coach Steve Sacry said.

Mike Wilkinson went 3-2 and finished fourth at 126 pounds, Dallon Hoover went 5-2 and placed fourth at 132 pounds, Kayden Howser went 3-3 and finished sixth at 285 pounds and Alleck Holloway was 3-3 and placed sixth at 126 pounds.

Sacry said one of the highlights of the tournament was Holloway's 25-11 win over Alex Tooley of Great Falls Central. He said it was the highest amount of points scored in one match for their team and maybe for the whole tournament.

Wyatt Powers went 2-2 at 152 pounds, Garris Robertson was 0-2 at 152 pounds, Jamus DuBois was 0-2 at 160 pounds and Gaten Wassberg was 1-2 at 182 pounds.
