Whitehall senior Kayden Howser competes in Cascade.

Local wrestling fans will have ample opportunity this week to cheer on the Whitehall Trojans with three consecutive days of home action.

The Trojans are hosting the Whitehall Quad on Thursday, December 7 with matches starting at 6 p.m. The team is also hosting the annual Whitehall Duals on December 8 and 9, with action set to start Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.

Whitehall assistant coach Steve Sacry said the three days of wrestling is a great opportunity for the kids to showcase their hard work and efforts.

"With few home matches, this is the best chance for the community to see the wrestlers perform," he said. "There are more teams this year than ever and there will be a lot of effort."

Teams who will be attending this week are Belgrade, Jefferson County, Butte, Columbus/Absarokee, Deer Lodge, Anaconda, Helena Capital, Helena High, Great Falls Central, Havre, North Fremont (Idaho), Broadwater, Huntley Project, Manhattan and Three Forks.

"It takes a huge effort to put on this tournament, and we appreciate the great support we get from the community," Sacry said.
