Music festival next week in Whitehall

Students from across Southwest Montana will be headed to town next week for the Whitehall Middle School Music Festival.

According to school musical director Janet Heilig, a total of eight schools will be at the festival planned February 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival will take place at both the elementary and high school, and is free of charge and open to the public.

Heilig said performances will be happening in four different rooms and will take place every ten minutes. There will be two rooms designated for performances in the Elementary school. The library in the middle school/elementary school will also host performances. Performances will also take place in band room at the high school.

Along with Whitehall, the schools at the event will be Anaconda, Boulder, Clancy, CS Porter (Missoula), Montana City, Twin Bridges and West Yellowstone.
