Town Council changes March meeting date

The Whitehall Town Council has changed the date for their regular monthly meeting.

The meeting originally scheduled for March 12 has been moved to March 19 at 7 p.m. Mayor Mary Janacaro-Hensleigh said last week the meeting was changed due to a scheduling conflict.

Mayor Janacaro-Hensleigh also said their would be another public hearing in April to obtain public comments regarding a a proposed application to the Montana Department of Commerce’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP), and DNRC’s Renewable Resources Grant and Loan (RRGL) Program to address the uranium issues with the Town’s water system.

The meeting is scheduled for April 9 at 6 p.m.

Janacaro-Hensleigh also addressed the chip sealing done to streets in Whitehall during the summer of 2017. She said the streets were fine right after the work was done, but the company would have to redo the project soon because there was a failure in application.
