    Paintings by the late artist Don Waltee are on display at Whitehall Town Hall located at 207 E. Legion. Waltee was born on a dairy farm in northern Michigan and moved to Butte at the age of 11. He joined the Navy after high school and returned to Butte. Later he and his wife Glenna moved to Alaska and spent the next 30 years on job assignments all over the country.     Whitehall area residents will soon have the opportunity to purchase tickets for Holiday Candlelight Tours at Lewis and Clark Caverns. Tickets will go on sale for the popular annual candle lantern-lit tours that are scheduled for December 20, 21, 22 27, 28 and 29. Eight tours are offered from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.     The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is continuing their search for an inmate who escaped from custody late Friday. According to the Sheriff's Office, Tory Gee escaped October 11 from the Jefferson County Detention Center at 10:25 p.m. Gee, 27, had been in custody since August 17 when he was arrested on a Madison County warrant for alleged assault with a weapon. According to County Clerk and Recorder Bonnie Ramey, Andersen was appointed by the Jefferson County Commissioners at their August 20 meeting.
