    The Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department responded to two truck fires last week. On Saturday morning, the department sent a total of four trucks to a semi truck fire on Interstate 90. Whitehall Fire Chief Jeremy Ward, the fire started on the rear trailer of the semi that was carrying trim boards.     A power outage Saturday evening did not prevent the local community from coming together in unison at the Erik Todd Benefit at the Whitehall Community Center. Cara Sacry who helped with the event said the turnout was great at the fundraiser for Todd who suffered a serious head injury in a March 4 snowboarding accident.     Mary Ann Maloney Larsen, 78, died of cancer on June 4, 2018 at her home in Whitehall, Montana. Mary Ann was born on Sept. 20, 1939 to James "Snub" Maloney, and Mary Victoria Lasky. She was raised in Butte by her mother, Mary Milliken and stepfather, Ray Milliken. She graduated from Butte High School. She married Charles E. Larsen in Butte at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Sept. 2, 1962. They were married for 57 wonderful years.     Joan Wagner, born to John and Jenny Plutt in Denver, Colorado on July 7, 1927, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 at her home in Whitehall. Joan came to Whitehall to live with her son, Don Wagner and his wife, Linda, in 2015 after the death of her husband, Jim. She was married to Jim for 68 years and they had nine children: Don, Steve, Chris, Bob, Carolyn, Scott, Mary, Sue, and Terri.     Under a bright spotlight, five members of the Whitehall/Harrison High School football team put on quite the performance at last Saturday's Class B All-Star game in Billings.   • Town moving operations to former ambulance barn

    The Whitehall governing body voted Monday to move town offices and public works operations to the former ambulance barn located at 207 E. Legion. The Council voted 4-1 to approve the measure. Jason Good, Montina Rawson, Barbara Gagnon, and Gary Housman all voted in favor of the measure. Francine Giono-Janik was the lone dissenting vote.
