    For the first time since 2013, the circus is coming to Whitehall. The Culpepper and Merriweather Circus will be in town Friday, June 28 with performances scheduled for 5 and 7:30 p.m. The tent will be located behind the rodeo grounds.     The deadline is approaching for the 2019 Whitehall Community Garage Sale. The annual event is scheduled to take place Saturday, June 29 and the deadline to signup is June 25.     While I much rather watch a basketball or football game, whenever the United States soccer team is playing in a World Cup, I pay attention. I don't know much about soccer, don't like it enough to call it football, but do love cheering on my country and anything where the best in the world are doing it is usually pretty exciting.     June 6, 1918-May 31, 2019 Gordon Russell Shuck Jr. died peacefully in his sleep at the Eastern Montana Veterans Home in Glendive, Montana on May 31st, 2019 just six days shy of his 101st birthday. Dr. Shuck was born in Oakland, California June 6th, 1918 to parents Mary Watson Shuck and Gordon Russell Shuck Sr. He grew up in Seattle where his father, Gordon Russell Shuck, Sr. taught Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington.     Not only was Sawyer Keener able to represent his school at the recent Class B All-Star Football game in Billings, he also walked away with a scholarship. The 2019 Whitehall graduate was awarded the Sportsmen Scholarship. "I was really excited to hear my name called for the scholarship. Had my fingers crossed that I would win it.
