The Montana Department of Transportation is making improvements on 10.3 miles of Whitetail Road (S-399) that have caused maintenance issues for years in Jefferson County. Jefferson County Health Department Officials announced Thursday what had been reported as a confirmed case of COVID-19 has been determined to be a false positive test result. The department had reported Sunday a female resident between 60 and 69 had tested positive for COVID-19. Francis Eugene Quinn, 88 passed away on Tuesday, June 23rd at U of L hospital in Louisville KY. Francis was born September 14, 1931 in Whitehall, MT, to Daniel J. Quinn and Mary Margaret Murphy. He graduated from Whitehall High School in 1950, where he excelled in music, athletics, mathematics and science. William Albert Ball passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, June 2, 2020, at the Laurel Health & Rehabilitation Center in Laurel, due to natural causes. Bill was born during the Great Depression on Jan. 30, 1930, to his parents Adelbert and Luella Ball in Conrad.
