    There is going to be one heck of a birthday party this Saturday in Cardwell. The Cardwell School 100th Anniversary Celebration is scheduled for August 4 starting at 10:30 a.m. The events at the school will include time for visiting and reconnecting, PowerPoint pictures, timelines, family histories and a replica of the town and school in 1918 that was made by students last school year.     The Madison County Fair scheduled for next week in Twin Bridges should provide plenty of fun for area residents. With the theme of “Red, White and Blue…This Fair is For You!!!” the events will kickoff next week with barrel racing scheduled for Wednesday, August 8 at 6:30 p.m. Madison County Fair Grounds Manager Dana Escott said preparations for the fair are going really well and she is looking forward to the event.     In 2015 Michele Franich and Kerry Kraha launched a dream of a Community Art Show and the first two person show was held. Soon Michelle Tebay was added to the roster which grew rapidly to 30 artists willing to share their view of the world. Today there are 70 artists on the list from the Jefferson Valley area.     Amidst the joyful sounds of children and in the loving care of devoted family and caring Hospice nurses, Catherine Alice Seccomb passed from this life on July 27, 2018 in her family home in Whitehall, Montana. She left with such dignity, kindness, and generosity, all around her felt deeply loved and assured there was a greater love into which she would rise. She was born on August 5, 1929 to Catherine A.     After a strong performance at the Class A South District Tournament in Helena, the Gallatin Valley Outlaws American Legion baseball team has high hopes for this week's state tournament in Miles City. The Outlaws, who play their home games in Three Forks and feature three Whitehall area players, will open the Class A State Tournament Wednesday, August 1 against the Laurel Dodgers.
