The September meeting of the Whitehall Town Council saw many standard reports and little controversy as the Town heads into the colder months. Whitehall Public Works Director Kory Klapan said Town workers would begin blowing out sprinklers at the Rec Complex, then move to the parks and cemeteries in the upcoming weeks in preparation for winter. The Whitehall Veterans Annual Fall Gun Show will be held Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 18 at the Whitehall Community Center, located at 11 N. Division Street in Whitehall. The daily hours are Friday from 1 PM to 6 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Admission is $4 per person for the entire weekend. On the morning of September 1, 2022, surrounded by her loving children, Betty Ann Strozzi peacefully passed away after a nearly 4-month battle with a debilitating stroke. A free history program is being offered at the Jefferson Valley Museum, 303 South Division Street, on the evening of Wednesday, September 21st at 6:30 PM. The museum has a number of oral histories, mostly done by Roy Millegan, with interviews dating back to the late 1980s. The Whitehall/Harrison Trojan football team took on the Jefferson High School Panthers on Friday, September 9th on the Trojan home field.
