Rod Run has record number of entrants

The 2016 Bill Baycroft Memorial Rod Run had a record number of entrees with 91 who signed up for the popular Frontier Day's event.

The Peoples Choice Award went to Duane Schmidt of Three Forks for his 2015 Dodge Hellcat.

The first place finisher was Frank Padrotti of Butte for his 1940 Willys Coop. Tom Taylor of Butte finished second with his 1932 Ford 3 Window Coop. Bob Johnson of Butte finished third with his 1954 Chevy Bel Air.

Jim Ayres of Butte was fourth with his 1936 Chevy Truck. The fifth place finisher was Rody Warnstrom of Butte with his 1970 Challenger. Ed Wenger of Helena placed sixth with his 1937 Ford 2 Door. Sid Bartholomeu of Butte was seventh with his 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

The eight place finisher was Stretch Stredwick of Bozeman with his 1932 Food Coop. Terry Oksa of West Yellowstone finished ninth with his 1950 Merc Truck. Vince Arkell of Bozeman placed tenth with his 1941 Chevy Coop.

The winner of the Bill Baycroft Memorial Award was Nilo Bertoloni of Bozeman for his 1935 Plymouth Sedan. Fred Fike of Superior won the In State Longest Distance Traveled Award (161) miles for his 1934 Ford Truck. Gary Allid of Twin Bridges won the Rat Rod Award for his 1937 Ford Truck.
