Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Large turnout at annual customer appreciation day

There was a great crowd in attendance last Saturday at the annual Customer Appreciation Day at the Briggs Ranch and Quarter Horses, and Jefferson Valley Equine Center.

According to Wendy Briggs, the event went great, the weather was perfect, and there were around 125 people in attendance.

Briggs said they had a barbecue lunch from 11 a.m. to 12:30 and then started demonstrations for their customers.

She said they addressed horses issues such as how to select a good prospect when buying a new horse, and also went over the mechanics of a horse, and a lot of horsemanship.

The center has hosted the event for the past five years.

"We started to do it every September to show how grateful we are to survive in the horse business. Not many are lucky enough to do what we do and we are thankful for that," she said. "Without all of our customers it wouldn't be possible. We have customers from all over Montana and the surrounding States. It's a great day to be able to touch base with some of our customers and continue to serve them."
