Editorial: 2017 phone book nearing completion

I wanted to use this week’s editorial as a reminder the deadline for the 2017 phone book is Tuesday, January 31.

If you would like to advertise in this year’s edition, or would like an number added, changed, or removed from the book, please get a hold of us by emailing advertising@whitehallledger.com or by calling 406-287-5301.

There isn’t a day that goes by that someone doesn’t come in and grab at least one phonebook. I am amazed how many people use this book on a regular basis. It’s a great way to advertise your business. Your ad will be seen. A few times a week, I am stopped at the bank or grocery store by someone asking when the new book will be published. People often tell me they like to come in a grab three or four so they can have one in the car, one at home, and one at work.

I know that in bigger towns and cities, the phone book may only exist in hotel rooms or not at all, but in smaller communities they are not only used, they are used time and time again throughout the year. Yes, people do look at Google all the time, but local residents use this book often. We are going to be sending the book to the printer shortly after the deadline, and will let are subscribers know as soon as the new books are available.

The Ledger is also having local resident Connie Sims verify numbers for the book. We are doing this in as an extra step to make sure the listings in the book are correct.

The books will inserted into every in-county newspaper, and will also be available at the Ledger office and various locations throughout town.
