Eight Whitehall students and one alternate were chosen to take part in the county spelling bee in Boulder on Feb. 26th. The local spelling bee was held on Feb. 19th with 15 students competing for their chance to advance. Eighth grader Bryan Goles correctly spelled pettish to win himself first-place honors in the local bee. Bryan is the son of Dan and Barbara Goles. Other winners were: Leland McMillian, Meghan Hoopes, Jeremy Fleege, Megan Bowers, Kate Mulligan, Tasha Hippert and Clinton Paquin. Alternate was Rico Patacini.
