The Wiz of the West

A total of 49 Whitehall students took part in last Saturday's Missoula Children's Theater performance of "The Wiz of the West".

The play based on the "Wizard of Oz" was written by Michael McGill and sponsored by the Whitehall PTSA, Art Work, the National Endowment for the Arts, and Montana Arts Council.

The main cast included Emily Smith as Dotty, Mason Miller as Mooch, Chloe Brown as Scared Crow, Tommy Emerson as Lionel, Hallee Kelley as Hawknose Halley, Mack Williams as Dr. Ozzy, Addison Sullivan as Top Dog, Kaden Weber as Mad Dog and Natalia McElderberry as Bad Dog.

The coyotes were Coya Kelley, Lexi Stratton, Kari Ellison, Rachel Meyer, Hope Nieskens, Hailey Emerson and Alyssa Hagel.

The Much Kin cast members were Marcus Wait, Marissa Ellsion, Payton Dubois, Ashley Pettersen, Tyra Sepulveda, Kolin Smith, Ashalee Witzel and Madelyn Seccomb.

The Buzzards included Miles McLean, Sawyer Osborne, Kieth Wilson, Jaeden Aragon, Adam Martinez, Lynzey Ortiz, Alannah Scafani, Jaylynn Edsall, Alexander McElderrt and Alannah Leonti.

The Tarantulas in the 2017 production were Kortni Wilson, Halle Downey, Zoey Lyons, Oakley Buckner, Gage Kidwell, Reece Hofer, Evelinn Scarborough, Ierlyn Kelley, Addison Goolsby, Ashilnn Edsall, Colt McLean, Jackson Hofer, Marley Rawson and Alyssa Martinez.

The accompanist was Janet Heilig. The tour actors and directors were Jade Coates and Erica Diederich.
