Whitehall High’s Lady Trojans captured the 4-B District title Saturday night after posting a second victory of the day over the Three Forks Wolves, 16-4, 15-8. It was the first time in Whitehall’s volleyball history that its team took first place honors in District play.

Whitehall teacher Todd Breitenfeldt will work with fifth and seventh grade students and students from his Environmental Biology class in a special program aimed at teaching students more about weeds and the biological control of weeds.

Student of the Week is Grant Rodway, a freshman at WHS. He was chosen for his outstanding abilities in science. Grant is the son of Arlo and Merna Rodway of Whitehall.

Whitehall Boy Scout Troop 24 recently toured the Computer Center at the Golden Sunlight Mine to finish a computer merit badge. They are working on an archery merit badge for which they shot a competition archery round at Strom’s home. As a community service project the troop delivered Rotary Club Calendars.

School trustees give okay for math grant application proposal by WHS math teacher Bruce Bell. It is for the SIMM (Systemic Initiative for Montana Mathematics) grant.
