Fiber Fest next month

Event organizers are inviting residents from across Montana to visit Whitehall and experience a weekend of fiber fun in the countryside with classes, vendors and friends.

The Copper K Fiber Festival will take place July 22 to 23 in Whitehall at the Copper K Barn located at 830 Point of Rocks Road. The event is sponsored by Kami Noyes of Ranching Tradition Fiber and Betty Kujawa of Snowdrift Alpacas.

The Copper K is offering 12 classes for all levels of experience. Classes offered include needle felting, dyeing, drop spindle and a variety of advanced techniques. Twenty-five fiber artists and fiber producers will offer wares for sale in the marketplace. The fiber festival marketplace will be open and free to the public on Saturday, July 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, July 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a demonstration booth of various fiber project ideas and a spot to just sit and spin, knit, crochet, weave or just visit.
