Simon receives Wheelchair Award

Ed Simon is pictured above receiving a Rotary Wheelchair award from Rotarian Joan Jones. Ed received this award for his many hours of service above self to the community. Ed served on the Cardwell School Board twelve years and the Whitehall School Board for nine years, he helped coach football, and volunteered his time with the Boy Scouts. You could also hear his voice broadcasting many school games on the radio so folks who couldn't attend would also enjoy the game.

One third of the money received from the Whitehall Rotary donation jar at the KFC/A&W goes towards the purchase of wheelchairs; a person in the USA or a foreign country receives a wheelchair for $150 provided by the Whitehall Rotary Club. Our local Rotary club is proud to recognize and thank the many people in the community who volunteer their time in various ways with a Wheelchair Award. The remaining two thirds of the donations are split equally to support our local youths and to help eradicate polio worldwide.

We also thank everyone for the tremendous support they have given by their donations at the KFC/A&W to help Rotary make a difference in our community and world.
