Mary Ann Maloney Larsen

Mary Ann Maloney Larsen, 78, died of cancer on June 4, 2018 at her home in Whitehall, Montana. Mary Ann was born on Sept. 20, 1939 to James "Snub" Maloney, and Mary Victoria Lasky. She was raised in Butte by her mother, Mary Milliken and stepfather, Ray Milliken. She graduated from Butte High School.

She married Charles E. Larsen in Butte at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Sept. 2, 1962. They were married for 57 wonderful years. She was employed by Mountain Bell, Montana Power Company, and as a secretary for the Whitehall High School for 35 years.

Mary Ann wintered in Arizona with her loving husband, Chuck. She enjoyed playing golf and Mah Jongg with her circle of friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very gentle and caring person with a love for everyone and not a bad word to say about anyone.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving family -- husband, Charles; son, Dan (Heidi) Larsen and grandchildren, Jacob, Sophie, Jack, and Chloe of Missoula; and daughter, Lisa Larsen and companion, Nick Ricardi, and grandchildren, Abigail and Lillian of Bozeman; brother, Jim "Bood" (Peggy) Maloney; stepbrother, Pat (Paulette) Maloney; and stepsister, Karen (Tom) Mullaney.

A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Whitehall with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, Whitehall Museum, or charity of one's choice.
