Leora Brinig, 86

Our beloved Leora Ann Brinig passed away in Butte on Wednesday February 20, 2019 surrounded by Family.

She was born March 12, 1932 in Quincy California, the daughter of Sil & Anne (Mecham) Giardi. She married Pete Brinig on July 9, 1950 in Butte. He proceeded her in death July 13, 1986. She was also proceeded in death by her parents and special friend Bud Holland.

Leora grew up and graduated in Butte. She worked many jobs including working at her father in laws store The Golden Rule. Leora & Pete moved to Whitehall in 1963 and she was a devoted mom and worked on the family farm and later went to work at the Montana Developmental Center in Boulder. She retired after 27 yrs. of service. Her last job was at the Whitehall Elementary School as a teacher's aid until 2017.

Leora greatly enjoyed her daily walks with her beloved dog Tippy.

Leora is survived by her sons David and Sandi Brinig of Galesburg, Illinois, Paul and Elaine Brinig of Billings and Andrew and Diann Brinig of Whitehall her Grandchildren Sara Christian of Dillon, Amber Kuchtyn of Butte, Troy Brinig Billings, Nick Brinig of Burlington, Iowa, Eric Brinig of Denver, Colorado and her Great Grandchildren Paul, Lucius, Mia Christian of Dillon, Ava and Kutler Kuchtyn of Butte and Aiden Brinig of Burlington Iowa.

Per Leora's wishes cremation has taken place. Private services for the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to 4 Paws Rescue, PO Box 13, Cardwell MT 59721, Whitehall Senior Center, 3 S. Division St, Whitehall, MT 59759 or a charity of your choice.
