Tennis strong at home event

The Whitehall High School tennis team was impressive last week in their lone home event of the season.

The Lady Trojans won two out of three contests with a huge 8-1 victory over Three Forks and a 3-1 win over Granite.

Head Coach Kerry Sacry said he was pleased with how the team played.

In the match against the Lady Wolves, Britney Welker, Madison Homer, Bailee Hess and Macee Patritti all picked up singles victories. The doubles teams of Hannah Tebay and Dalaney Scafani, Meagan Johnson and Kendra Klapan, and Hess and Patritti also picked up wins.

In the match against Granite, Welker won their singles matches, and Johnson and Klapan picked up a doubles victory.

Whitehall also a close 4-3 match to Jefferson High School. Welker and Homer won singles matches and Johnson and Patritti won a doubles match.

The team will next compete Thursday and Friday at the Divisional Meet in Belgrade.
