Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Sateva Rose Turman

Sateva Rose Turman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 19, 2019. She was born November 8, 2000 in Helena, Montana to Brandi Brian and Jake Freiburg. She was placed in the home of Kevin and Christy Turman on December 10, 2010 and was officially adopted by Kevin and Christy on October 9, 2015.

Sateva arrived as a spunky, curious, and outgoing 10 year old, putting on plays, enjoying tea parties, and "baking" for anyone who had courage to eat it. As time went on, however, she became quite the cook and always held the dream of entering culinary school. She enjoyed basketball, horses, skiing, traveling (her favorite place being Walt Disney World), her pets, playing hockey with Severen, Saya, Faith and Grace, singing, and spending time with family and friends. In 2015 and 2016 both Sateva and Faith enjoyed the opportunity to go and work on the Markuson family ranch in Ekalaka, Montana where she learned from her Uncle Tyler and Aunt Robin the importance of hard work.

Sateva was saved by grace through her faith in Jesus Christ on July 26, 2012. She was very active at Whitehall Baptist Church where she was involved in the teen group and ministries, the Youth Alive program working with young kids, and the music ministry. She loved to sing and was blessed with a beautiful voice which blended well with her sisters, Faith and Grace.

From July to December of 2018, Sateva attended and graduated Montana Youth Challenge. It was at MYC that she developed a love for running and physical fitness becoming one of the top cadets in running in her class.

Sateva is survived by her birth parents, Brandi Brian and Jake Freiburg, adoptive parents, Kevin and Christy Turman, sisters Faith Turman, Grace Turman, Saya Meier, Syndrea Hameline, and brother, Severen Meier, along with multiple half siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Our hearts are broken at her death, but she is now resting in the arms of Jesus. We will miss you and cherish the time God gave us with you. We love you 'Teba Bear. A Memorial Service took place at Whitehall Baptist Church, Whitehall, Montana on September 24.
