Storm leads to numerous Interstate incidents

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported numerous incidents following a winter storm that arrived late Saturday, November 7.

The department reported Sunday, November 8 at 5:19 a.m. that emergency crews were responding to multiple vehicle crashes and spinouts with partial lane blockage on both lanes of travel on Homestake Pass on Interstate 90.

At 11 a.m., crews were called out to a jackknifed semi-truck on the northbound lane of I-15 near mile marker 171 on Boulder Hill.

On Monday, crews responded at 11:20 to a vehicle crash on the I-90 eastbound lane near mile marker 238 on Homestake Pass.

On Saturday afternoon, personnel also responded to a vehicle crash on I-190 eastbound near mile marker 236 on Homestake Pass.

Sheriff's Office Officials are reminding local residents that if they must travel during bad weather to prepare for challenging road conditions and move over and slow down for emergency personnel.
