Lots of Summer Fun This June

It's exciting to see all the activities in Whitehall this month fall into place - this summer is going to be a busy one, so don't miss out on any of the fun!

• The Whitehall Community Library has a plethora of amazing programs happening this summer - up to three programs a day! Check out the schedule of events on Page 2 of the Ledger!

• Whitehall Farmer's Market opens for the season this Saturday, June 12th and will run through October in Legion Park.

• The Ag Cats 4-H Club's Annual Car Wash is June 10th, starting at 11 a.m. at the Whitehall Fire Station.

• The Whitehall Flea Market at the Community Center, put on by Settings by All Things Montana, is June 11-12th.

• National Flag Day will be celebrated on June 14th at the Whitehall Cemetery with a flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m.

• The Whitehall Community Pool open on June 15th. The pool is open Tuesdays - Saturday, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Daily admission is $5 with ages 2 and under free. Private pool parties are available Sundays and Mondays, as well as swim lessons. For more information contact the Town Hall at 287-3972.

• June 17th will be the Liberty Place residents music concert: Light's On - Soldier On at the Main Street Green.

• The Up In Arms Gun Show will be held in Twin Bridges at the Madison County Fairgrounds on June 18th from 3-7 p.m.

• The Walk and Wag Dog Walk fundraiser for the Animal Shelter and Care of Jefferson County will be held June 19th at 23 Muskrat Lane in Boulder from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

• The 10th Annual Jefferson Valley Search and Rescue Father's Day Breakfast will be held June 20 from 7 a.m. to noon at the Whitehall Community Center. The meal is $7/person (6 and younger eat free) with money raised being used to purchase equipment and use for operational needs. Call Cody Hagerty at 479-0090 for more information.

• Whitehall's annual Gun Show will be held at the Whitehall Community Center June 25 - 27 (Friday 1-6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) Admission is $3 for the weekend, with free admission for children under 12 and accompanied by an adult. All net profits will be donated to the Whitehall VFW and American Legion.

• The Whitehall Community Garage Sale is slated for June 26th - please email whitehallmtchamber@gmail.com or call 287-2260 to be added to the location map by June 22nd.

• Beats & Eats Music Series will also be on June 26th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with live music, local food, and vendors at the Main Street Green. If you would like to perform during the open mic portion of the event, please contact Liz at 498-3807 to get added onto the docket!

• The Whitehall Pool will be holding a Ride, Dash & Splash Triathlon on Tuesday, June 29th. Event starts at 1 p.m. with age division for 5-8, 9-12 and 13 & up. Awesome prizes and a free BBQ afterward. Sign up at the City Hall by June 18th. If anyone has extra bikes they would allow participants to use, please contact the Town Hall at 287-3972.
