Dear Jo,

There are life changing moments in everyone’s life; a moment, an opportunity to do something that could turn their life in a new direction. I have such an opportunity. It will cost me financially, not to mention the stress of a loan, the burden and pressure of taking the opportunity and making it work to my advantage. If I succeed, it will be an amazing boost to my career and life. If it doesn’t, I could spend several years recovering from the investment. I am scared, excited, and stuck. Help!!!!

Dear Jo,

I work in a tiny office, with several other women. Most of the time, we all get along, work hard and are a team together. However, we can hear each other’s phone calls. I am always amazed when someone comments on my phone calls, makes suggestions on what I should do, or literally agreeing or disagreeing on what they believe was being said by the half of the conversation they heard. It is so FRUSTRATING! I have tried to kindly tell them that they need to worry about their own job and I do not need their help with mine. I have also pointed out that what they THINK they understand about the conversation is not what the whole conversation was about. And yet, it still continues. I do not want to make enemies at work, but I am ready to knock someone on their butt if they insist on commenting on every stinkin’ phone call I make!
