Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Linda Kay Wagner, 70

Linda Kay Wagner, born April 14, 1951, in Havre, Montana to Ken and Lydia Rice, passed away on January 26, 2022, at her home in Whitehall, Montana with her husband Don, her two daughters, and her brother by her side.

On June 19th, 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Don Wagner. They spent the first 15 years of their marriage on a little ranch in Arvada, Colorado. During this time, they welcomed two daughters and a son. In 1985 the family moved to Whitehall, Montana, and settled on a little farm south of town. Linda quickly became a part of the community, becoming involved with 4-H and her church.

Linda served as the leader of the Jefferson and Madison County Junior Leaders for 30 years. She loved to sew and bake and could be seen at craft shows and farmers' markets in the area. She was always the first to bring a meal to anyone in need.

Linda's greatest joy was her grandchildren and, the newest addition, her great-grandson Nash.

Linda's celebration of life will begin with a rosary vigil on Wednesday, February 2nd at 5 pm at St. Teresa of Avila in Whitehall, Montana. Funeral services will be held on February 3rd at St. Teresa's with a luncheon reception to follow. Linda will be laid to rest at the North Boulder Cemetery with graveside services at 3:30 on the 3rd. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Center, 320 S. Idaho St, Butte, Montana 59701.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ken and Lydia Rice, as well as her father-and mother-in-law Jim and Joan Wagner. She is survived by her husband Don Wagner, daughters Tammy (Mitch) Tamietti, Lorie (Shawn) Dunagan, and son Matt (Amy) Wagner, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and one great-grand on the way.
