This is the last call to sign up for the Teen Mental Health First Aid class on Saturday, March 19th from 8 AM to 5 PM. Lunch will be provided and the materials are free, as is the class. If you work with middle and high schoolers, have some of your own or just want to learn more about how to spot the signs of mental health issues in young adults this is the class for you. Mental Health is critical now more than ever as everyone is feeling the pressure of modern life. If you would like to join us for this very important training, please call the Library at 287-3763 by Wednesday evening. I want to make sure I have enough food for lunch, so an accurate headcount is needed.

Mystery Book Club meets on Tuesday, March 22, at 5 PM. There are many new mysteries in the collection, and this is a great way to meet fellow mystery fans while discussing your favorite who-done-its!

This month the Holocaust Book Discussion group is hosting a special guest speaker. I had the great pleasure of connecting with a German Rabbi who will be discussing Holocaust education in modern Germany. This program is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 6 PM.

Next month on April 28th at 7 PM there will be a special Survivor/Rescuer Fair. This honors Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls on the 27th day of Nisan and marks the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The public is invited to come and travel through time as each of our Holocaust Project students will be portraying a real survivor or rescuer during the Holocaust. Students have been studying their persons for several months and everyone who comes will be given a passport to have stamped as they visit each table.

The Holocaust Book Club will be continuing through next year and new members are invited to come and join the programs and discussions. If you would like more information, please contact the Library at 287-3763.
