Go Ask Jo: 6/22/2022

Dear Jo,

I own a small business. I love my store and feel protective of my space, but I also feel like I am welcoming as well. A customer came in with their dog. I allow dogs, I love dogs, and I do feel there is the assumption customers will control their dogs. This customer came in and their dog peed on a sheepskin hide in my store. Yes, peed. The customer did NOTHING! He did not clean it up, did not offer to clean it up, and did not offer to pay for the damage. I was not in the store at the time or I may have been arrested. I am still angry and want to hunt him down. How do I let go?

Dear Pissed,

I completely agree, hunt him down! Pee on something valuable of his! It will certainly teach him a lesson and make you feel better.

Signed, Jo

Dear Jo,

My idea of exercise is walking around the house twice looking for a piece of mail that flew out of my hand. My girlfriends all want to join an exercise club and “get in shape.” I have a shape = it's called plump. I tell my friends I work out because when they all talk about their workouts I feel like I have to chime in.

Now they want to do this program together and I have a problem carrying my handbag, let alone one of those weight thingies. Really, I don’t understand the whole workout thing. What is the attraction of putting on clothes that look like Rubbermaid made them, then going out in public to bend into all kinds of weird, unnatural positions? What am I going to do? How do I tell my friends that I really have never worked out?

Signed,

Liar Liar

Dear Liar,

Girl, fess up or put on that Rubbermaid and get going!

Signed, Jo
