Madison Buffalo Jump State Park to Host Flying Buffalo Project Event This Saturday

Madison Buffalo Jump State Park will host a free event this month celebrating the history of the site through arts, crafts, and other activities for families.

The Flying Buffalo Project event will be Saturday, September 10, from 10 AM to 4 PM near the park’s picnic area. Local artists, educators, and park staff will help visitors enjoy making and flying kites, arts and crafts, and learning how to throw an atlatl.

Visitors can also enjoy the park’s many trails while learning more about the buffalo jump and its importance to native peoples.
