Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Fundraiser a huge success

Just minutes before a special screening last Friday night at the Star Theater of the "Ballad of Lefty Brown", the films star Bill Pullman said it was going to be an exciting night. He could not have been more correct as local residents came together for an evening of fun and giving back to the community.

Not only did a sold out crowd attend the special premier/fundraiser, Star Theater Colton Anderson estimated they raised around $12,000 for the Jefferson Valley Museum.

"It was great to pack the theater. I have never seen a sold out crowd in Whitehall and knowing it was a great cause makes it much better," Anderson said.

Along with a screening of the film that also stars Peter Fonda and Jim Cavizel, the evening included a chance for area residents to meet the lead actor Pullman and director Jared Moshe. A reception with a silent auction followed the premier of the highly praised western.
