There were a total of 62 runners in the boys varsity race at last weekends Whitehall Cross Country meet.
Last Saturday was a chance for members of the community to show their support for the Whitehall High School Cross Country team. They did not disappoint with a large crowd making their way to the rodeo grounds to support the Trojans.
Following the meet, head coach Kerry Sacry said he was pleased with both the crowd and the times of his team. The varsity boy's race had a total of 62 runners and the girl's varsity race had 40.
Whitehall was led by Hunter Flynn, who finished in second place with a time of 16:44 time. Sacry said that was a really fast time for the senior standout. Townsend's Bryant Edgerton won the race with a time of 16:00.
Flynn said the course was very fast and he felt good during the race. He said their prior race had been at the golf course at Fairmont and it felt slow, so it felt great to run on this course.
On the girl's side, Ann Russell finished in 18th place with a time of 22:18.
Madison Loomis was third in the girl's junior varsity race with a time of 23:13.
Adam Williams was the top Trojan finisher in the boy's junior high race. He was 13th with a time of 9:55.
Chloe Brown finished 30th for the Lady Trojans with a time of 15:31.
