Robertson, Johnson, Wolfe excel at Whitehall Rodeo

The members of the Whitehall Junior High rodeo team shined earlier this month at the Montana High School Rodeo Association Junior High Rodeo.

Competing in front of their home fans, Whitehall had several first place and multiple top ten finishes.

Eighth-grader Garris Robertson had a great overall rodeo. His two-day average was good enough for first place in both calf roping and team roping with partner Gage Duncan of Belgrade. Robertson and partner Haven Wolstein of Helena were fifth in the two-day average in Ribbon Roping. He was third overall in Chute Dogging and seventh in goat tying.

Whitehall’s Brynna Wolfe and Jacy Johnson also had great finishes at the rodeo.

Wolfe finished third overall in pole bending, fourth in goat tying and 12th in barrel racing. Wolfe finished in first place in Barrel Racing on the second day of action.

Johnson and her partner Chance Story of Ennis finished in third in their two-day average for ribbon roping. She was fifth in barrel racing, sixth in pole pending, and 11th in goat tying. Johnson finished in first place on the first day of competition in pole bending.

BOZEMAN

Robertson continued his strong performance last week in Whitehall. He won the average in all five of his events as well as the boy’s all around. Robertson won the average in chute dogging, goat tying, tie down roping, team roping with Duncan and ribbon robing with Wolstein.

Johnson also had another solid weekend. She finished first in breakaway roping.
