How would you feel if a total stranger had the authority to tell you what you could or could not read? This week the Library is recognizing the right of all Americans to read what they wish through “Banned Books Week”, September 25-October 1.

People are always surprised when they see which books have been banned and for what reason. The fact that the Bible, If I Ran the Zoo by Dr. Seuss, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley, and The Call of the Wild, by Jack London have all been banned shows a wide diversity in what people think are inappropriat...
