Trojans open with road tilt

The Whitehall/Harrison High School football team will be taking to the road Saturday for the opening round of the MHSA Class B Playoffs.

Following a convincing 56-12 victory last Friday over Townsend, the Trojans will face off in the round of 16 against Cut Bank in a game scheduled to kickoff Saturday at 1 p.m.

Whitehall Head Coach Dan Lacey said the Trojans fans have been awesome all year and have traveled all over the place to support the team.

"Now is the time when we need them the most. It's win or go home, and a rowdy Trojan crowd would be great to have up in Cut Bank," Lacey said.

Whitehall will bring a 4-1 road record into the game against the Wolves. Lacey said a lot of their success away from home is due to preparation and routine.

"I'm a big routine guy, I like preparing down to the minute. It's a process that has worked well for us, and road trips are also a time when you can build a lot of unity among the team," he said.
