A main topic of discussion during the Jan. 21 meeting of the Whitehall Business Assoc. was once again the membership drive. Also a committee will be formed to study plans for Frontier Days and Crazy Days. Bridget Morse will chair the committee. Joan Jones from the A & W said she would like to see St. Patrick’s Day celebrated. At the next meeting, the Association’s By-laws will be discussed.

WHS to honor senior wrestlers: Neil Lombardi, Bob Lyman, Dan Erskine and B. J. Dorval. Dan Erskine was named Athlete of the Week for his third place finish in the toughest Class B wrestling tournament in the state, The Choteau Classic, and victories last week over Deer Lodge and Butte High jayvee. Dan in the son of Frank and Sandra Konola.

Play on the volleyball court continues to prove successful for the Lady Trojans, boosting their season record to 6 – 1 following the win over Townsend 15-9, 16-14.

Sheila McNee and her 4-year-old mare, “I’m a Sneaky Doc,” won the $250 novice barrel race at the 46th Annual Montana Winter Fair in Bozeman. The Southwest Montana Barrel Racing Assoc. sanctioned the race and other events, including pole bending and breakaway roping.
