For all of you “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” fans, I just saw a teaser trailer release for the new movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul”. It looks like it will be released this summer so watch out for it . You can watch the teaser at: http://booksbypamelathompson.blogspot.com/2017/02/diary-of-wimpy-kid-long-haul-teaser_23.html . If you haven’t tried the books and like funny stories, this may be series for you. The Library has almost all of the books so stop by and check them out.

Mystery fans will be pleased with all of the new series in the Library. James Patterson, Jaqueline Winspear, Rhys Bowen, and Jeffrey Deaver all have new works out or coming out in the next few months. Early spring is time of major releases in the book world so if you have a favorite author, look for a new book coming soon. If you are not sure where to check, many authors have their own websites which may be accessed by using their name. For example, you may find Tess Gerritsen (who wrote the Rizzoli and Isles books) at http://www.tessgerritsen.com or James Patterson at http://www.jamespatterson.com . These websites often have information about the author, new works in progress, speaking calendars, webinars, and information for booking programs. They are great places to learn something about your favorite author. For instance, did you know James Patterson has sold over 350 million books worldwide and holds the Guinness World Record for the most #1 New York Times bestsellers? Author sites are also great sources for students seeking information for book reports or presentations.

March calendars are now available and they are filled with programming. The computer classes are full and the next beginning class registration will take place in August. Summer Reading programs are almost fully scheduled and planning for the different weeks is in full swing. Before summer, we will be hosting the “Erin in Exile” exhibit so watch the May calendar for a month full of special programming.

Tax forms are coming in along with the instruction booklets. If you are in need or tax information or special forms, the Library has a notebook of specialized forms patrons may copy. As always feel free to stop by or call 287-3763 if you have any questions.
