Sepulveda ends storied career at state tennis

A tremendous high school tennis career for Whitehall's Monica Sepulveda came to an end last week at the Class B-C State Tournament in Missoula.

Competing in what head coach Kerry Sacry was one of the best fields he has ever seen at state, Sepulveda was eliminated from competition after dropping her first two matches.

Sacry said after finishing fourth at the Divisional Tournament, Sepulveda had to play against the top seed from the other division. She fell in her first match 6-1, 6-2 to Ellie Berreth of Big Fork. Sepulveda fell in the second round in a tight 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 match to Naemi Wi...
