Art Show a hit at Frontier Days

This Friday and Saturday those in attendance at Frontier Days will be able to view some amazing local art at the Jefferson Valley Fine Arts Show.

Organizer Michelle Tebay said this will be the fifth time they have put on the event that takes places during both the Christmas Stroll and Frontier Days. This year’s show will take place at the Borden’s Conference room and will run Friday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tebay said the feedback from the public has been very positive, and each time they put on a show more and more people show up.

This year they already have 34 artists confirmed and she said this number could reach over 50.

Tebay believes the Jefferson Valley is really becoming an artistic community and this show is a grand opportunity for local artists to show their work.

She said the show is not juried and is open to any fine artist in the Jefferson Valley who will then have the opportunity to display four or five pieces.

Tebay added it is also great for beginning artists as a showcase for their work.

The cost to enter the show is $15.

Artists are asked to bring their art to Borden’s on Thursday, July 27 from 2 to 6 p.m.
