Smoke leads to cancelled meet, Trojans run in Manhattan Sept. 16
September 13, 2017
The smoke filled Montana skies led to the cancellation or postponement last week of numerous high school sporting events across the state. This included a meet for the Whitehall High School Cross Country team.
WHS Athletic Director Dan Lacey told the Ledger Friday afternoon the decision had been made to cancel the Harrison Cross Country meet last Saturday because of smoky conditions. This was the second scheduled meet for the Trojans cancelled because of smoke. Their August 29 meet at Fairmont was also cancelled.
The Trojans are next scheduled to compete September 16 at Manhattan with the first race starting at 10 a.m.
