Scrimmage, barbecue Friday night

The practice season is underway and local fans will soon get a sneak peak at the Whitehall High School football and volleyball teams.

The annual Purple and Gold Scrimmages are scheduled to take place Friday, August 17 with volleyball at 5 p.m. and football at 6 p.m.

The event will be followed by the annual Whitehall High School Booster Club Barbecue at 6 p.m.

Trojans Athletic Director and head football coach Dan Lacey said having the booster club do the barbecue is great for the community as a way to encourage more members to join.
