Another solid week for Trojans track

Whitehall High School Track Coach Dan Lacey was very pleased with his teams performance last week at the Manhattan Christian meet in Bozeman.

The Lady Trojans ended the day in third place while the boys finished in fifth.

Lacey said Katie Whitehurst, Madison Loomis, Colby Smith, Charlynn Mercer, Cade Briggs and Tegan Robbins performed well. He added Whitehurst and Briggs both qualified for the state meet.

Whitehurst had another amazing day for Whitehall. She was first in the 200, 400, and third in the 100. She was also part of the 4x100 relay team (Mercer, Ashlynn Ellison, Loomis) that finished in second place.

Mercer finished second in the discus, and Loomis had a big day finishing fourth in the 100 and 200 and third in the 400.

For the boy's Robbins was second in the high jump, Smith was second in the shot put and javelin, and Briggs was second in the long jump and third in the javelin.

The team will next compete next Thursday at the District Meet in Belgrade.

"I'm looking forward to see how we stack up at the district meet," Lacey said.
