Katie Whitehurst qualified for state in multiple events.

Four Whitehall High School athletes have qualified for this week's Class B State Track Tournament in Kalispell.

Katie Whitehurst, Colby Smith, Tegan Robbins, and Cade Briggs will all compete at the tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

The four all finished in the top eight in at least one event at last week's Southern B Divisional Meet in Laurel.

Head Coach Dan Lacey said Whitehurst had another great meet and finished second in the 400 and fourth in the 200. She also qualified for state in the 100 with a seventh-place finish.

Briggs finished seventh in the javelin and also set a qualifying mark for state earlier this season in the long jump.

Smith qualified with an eighth-place finish in the discus, and Robbins was seventh in the high jump.

Junior Madison Loomis just missed out of qualifying for state. She was 10th in the 100, and 11th in the 200 and 400.
