Whitehall Frontier Days this week

It's once again time for the biggest celebration of the year in Whitehall.

The 2019 Whitehall Frontier Days is scheduled for Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27 and will feature two days of family friendly events.

"We are so excited for what is truly an amazing weekend in Whitehall," said Chamber President Melissa Jenkins.

Frontier Days will officially kickoff July 26 with vendors able to open for business at 10 a.m. The Jefferson Valley Fine Arts Show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Borden's Conference Room. The Rocky Mountain Bank BBQ will draw a big crowd and is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Historic tours will be available at the Jefferson Valley Museum on July 26 at 1, 3, 5, and 7 p.m. The Jefferson River Watershed Concert fundraiser is scheduled from 5 to 10:30 p.m. at the Rodeo Grounds.

A busy Saturday, July 27 will kickoff with Whitehall Fireman's Breakfast scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the fire hall. Vendors on Legion are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 12th annual Mark Jordan Horseshoe Tournament will start with signup at 8 a.m. Play will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Barrel racing is set for 8:30 a.m. The Bill Baycroft Memorial Rod Run will take place in Legion Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A book sale at the library is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cowboy Crafts will take part at the library from 10 a.m. to Noon for third to fifth graders. The fine arts show will also take place again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The "Big Dreams in a Small Town" parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Legion Avenue.

The Grand Marshal is Mary Gustin.

The Chamber BBQ will take place at Noon at the Pavilion, and the Jefferson Valley Museum Gab Fest is slated for Noon to 4 p.m.

Bounce houses and garnet panning will take place in the park from noon to 4 p.m. and the kids tractor pull is set for 1 p.m.

Live music in the park is scheduled from Noon to 5 p.m.

Historic tours are scheduled for 1, 3, and 5 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $5 at the Jefferson Valley Museum.

The Ranchers Roundup and Calcutta is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.

The annual street dance is set for 9 p.m. to midnight.
