Whitehall takes down Big Timber

The Whitehall High School volleyball team picked up their second conference win of the season last Thursday with win over Big Timber.

"I was happy that the girls could get a win for Homecoming on Thursday night, especially since it was a conference game," said head coach Kyla Simon.

In action Saturday, Whitehall fell on the road 16-25, 16-25, 25-22 to Three Forks.

"We played a tough Three Forks team on Saturday. The loss was definitely not because of lack of effort. Our Trojans worked hard the entire game and the great thing about this team is that they are still going to push forward with the coming week and learn something from each game," Simon said.

Brynna Wolfe led the team with 18 assists, Meagan Johnson had 10 digs, and Maxine Hoagland and Kendra Klapan each had five kills.

In action this week, Whitehall will be on the road Thursday at Drummond and at Saturday's Manhattan Christian Tournament.

"We are now at the halfway point, conference-wise, but we still feel like we have a lot of room to grow before we are playing our best volleyball," Simons said.
