Booster Club looks to upgrade sign

Here's your sign! At least it will be...

The Whitehall School Reader Board sign needs an upgrade! As a marker to Whitehall School's entrance, it guides visitors to our turn into the high school and middle school, as well as informs our community of events such as sports events and music performances.

The current sign is in need of repair, but rather than have students with a big stick changing letters out in inclement weather on a busy road, we are upgrading to an LED sign! This new sign will have color, text, and graphic capabilities. It is a 15 mm pixel LED sign that will be retrofitted to our current reader board. It will have dimming capabilities at night to be suitable for the neighborhood and late night drivers. In addition, the ID cabinet above will be upgraded to read: Whitehall Schools, Home of the Trojans, complete with our current logo.

The Whitehall Booster Club is looking for partners to sponsor the remaining cost of the sign. THIS COULD BE YOU!! We have a private donor that will do a dollar for dollar match up to $10,000. Total cost for the project is $29,000. We have a $2,500 grant from the Jefferson Valley Community Foundation and the Barrack Mine--thank you!! This means we still need additional funds!

Any sponsor or business willing to contribute $1,000 or more before November 10th, 2019 will get their name on the new bumper pad on the sign post. However, any amount you'd like to contribute is welcome. All contributions are tax deductible. Booster Club is a nonprofit youth organization with 501(c)(3) status.

We'd love to see this sign up to ring in the New Year!
