School play November 14, 15

The Whitehall High School's drama department performances of "When Bullfrogs Sing Opera" are scheduled for November 14 and 15 starting at 7 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.

After many long hours practicing for the play, director Marci Whitehurst has had a lot of fun working with the cast and crew.

"We have several kids doing drama for the first time and I'm really excited about the talent they all possess. They have all worked very hard," she said.

The play tells the story of a country sister surprising her city sister (and high school friends) with a visit, and according to Whitehurst is a show full of laughs with a heart-warming ending.

"When Bullfrogs Sing Opera is a comedy that will ensure laughs for the whole family," she said.

The cast for the play is Madison Loomis, Britney Welker, Emily Smith, Marcus Wait, Charlynn Mercer, Rebecca Wagner, Mary Kate Horton, Kyra Oliverson and Kaya Smith. The state crew is Katie Whitehurst and Connor Graham.

"We are always thankful for the support we get from the community. We've spent a couple of months practicing and we look forward to the opportunity to present this show," Whitehurst said.
